So much is being made of using the phrase “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas” nowadays. Apparently, doing the latter may be offensive to those who do not share the sentiments of the traditional Christmas story. You know… the one that celebrates the birth of “Christ” – thus “Christ”mas! In today’s politically correct society, people may overreact to what you say. Just remember that your 1st Amendment right allows you to express your faith and doctrine openly! The liberal agenda attempts to use the establishment clause in this amendment as a way to squelch your freedom of speech through the guise of political correctness, but do not succumb to that line of thinking.
